There is a certain roster of garments that are considered staples in a woman’s wardrobe. These garments have changed and evolved throughout the decades, but they have proven to be versatile, classic, and worth a spot in every woman’s wardrobe. For the spring and summer seasons (and during the transition to fall), white jeans have become a staple and a must-have for women of all ages, shapes, and sizes. That doesn’t mean that every pair of white jeans are one-size-fits-all, however. Not to fear! Team AHStyling is here to give you our tips and tricks on finding the right pair of white jeans for you!

Here a few tips and rules to keep in mind when shopping for white jeans:

-General rule of thumb: Look for a pair of jeans that is made from a blend of 2% spandex and 98% cotton. This will give you structure with just enough give (this rule applies to all denim).

-White jeans should be fitted and tailored, but not skin tight! If you can see your cellulite (which we all have), they are too tight. This means white jeggings/leggings are a NO unless your bottom is fully covered by a long, tunic top.

– To ensure that the jeans aren’t too thin before you purchase them, put your hand through a leg of the jeans (so that there is just one layer of fabric over your hand). Hold the jeans up to the natural light to get a sense of how revealing they would be if you were wearing them.

-Wearing a nude thong is always the best undergarment to wear under white jeans.

-It’s best to look for white jeans that are clean and simple. Stray away from any adorned back pockets, big trends, cross-stitching, or bedazzling.

– Its best to steer clear of crops and capri styles because they can truncate and cut off the legs.
