The ultra-feminine in me might have done a little happy dance when I saw that floral motifs were going to be one of the salient trends this season. Dainty and ultra-feminine, this print can be subdued or bold, depending on your inclination.
Some runway inspiration from some of my favorite fashion week collections:

Carolina Herrera S/S 2015
DVF S/S 2015
From runway to reality:
How Betty Draper is this sweet D&G shell? Love, especially with white cigarette or ankle pants or tailored white shorts.
Equipment Reese Top, $288
Tory Burch floral print Pima cotton jersey dress, $195. On my must-have list (and TB is one of my favorite RTW designers). I love an easy jersey knit dress!
Matthew Williamson floral print jersey dress, $850. Love this piece of resort-wear – great for vacation or running weekend errands.
Cynthia Rowley bonded skirt, $225. Perfect for the office or a luncheon.
There’s something flirty and playful about a floral frock or pantsuit. Makes you want to get in touch with your inner girly-girl, no? Though not for everyone, floral prints are classic and sophisticated, and just the sort of trend I think I’ll keep around.
